TSO’s 20mm accessories are designed specifically for use with 20mm dog holes, such as those found in Festool MFT-style tops. Since 3/4" holes (19.05mm) are slightly smaller, our accessories will not fit properly and may not seat securely — or at all — in those holes. However, many customers with 3/4" bench tops have successfully enlarged their holes to 20mm to take full advantage of our precision 20mm accessories. If you choose to go this route, we recommend using a high-quality cutter like the UJK 20mm Parf-style cutter or a 20mm brad point bit, along with a drill guide or plunge router to ensure clean, perfectly perpendicular holes. Please note: Modifying your bench is a permanent change. Before committing, we strongly recommend testing on a scrap piece to ensure your existing 3/4" accessories (such as bench dogs, holdfasts, or vises) still function properly in a 20mm hole. Not all 3/4" hardware will be compatible after the change.
